Joana Otxoa de Alaiza is a pianist who specializes in chamber music and vocal accompaniment.

 

 

She studied at the Music Conservatory of the Basque Country, Musikene, with Ricardo Requejo. She completed a master in chamber music at the Berlin University of the Arts. She has deepened her chamber music studies with musicians such as François Benda, Frank-Immo Zichner and Benedicte Palko. As a vocal accompanist, on the other hand, she has learned with Eric Schneider, Liana Vlad and Maciej Pikulski, among others.

 

 

As an accompanying and chamber music pianist, she has collaborated on various projects. These include various European festivals and venues, including Bernaola Festival (Vitoria-Gasteiz, Basque Country), Kamermuziek Festival Oudewater (Oudewater, Holland), Donostia Kultura Zikloa (Donostia-San Sebastian, Basque Country), Chamber Music Cycle of Vitoria-Gasteiz (Basque Country), Kammermusiksaal Berliner Philarmonie (Berlin, Germany), Sala La Beneficencia (Valencia, Catalan Countries), Auditorio de León (León, Spain) and Humboldt Universität (Berlin, Germany).

 

She is currently woking on several projects. For example, she is a part of a duo with the countertenor Mikel Uskola and is the pianist of the Txori Kantazale project. Txori Kantazale project.
